Deep, very luminous ruby red. Multi-layered, full-volumed nose of fruit, ranging through wild cherry, tobacco leaf, black liquorice, and mint. Equally superb richness and elegance in the mouth, excelling in depth and balance of all components, including the tannins.

The dark blue fruit is exciting, with blackcurrants, black cherries, raspberries, dark mushrooms and pine cones on both the nose and palate. It’s medium-bodied with fine and tight tannins that give this tension and structure. It’s rather shy now and will need three or four years to show its true self. Try after 2027.

Safra 2021 Avaliado em 2025

Offers ample black cherry and blackberry fruit, while a base of dusty tannins keeps this solidly structured. Earth and tobacco accents add detail, while in the end the silky texture is offset with pointed tannins. The length shows this red’s ultimate potential. Sangiovese and Merlot. Best from 2027 through 2042. 511 cases made, 50 cases imported.

Plum, blackberry and earth flavors show a hint of caramel in this suave, muscular red, framed by toasty oak. This feels fluid and open, until the dense, beefy tannins unleash their presence on the finish. Persistent and fresh, with a long aftertaste. Sangiovese and Merlot. Best from 2026 through 2045. 35 cases imported.
