Deep purple in colour, almost opaque. Intense, powerful aroma of cherry and raspberry, plum and blueberries, spicy notes reminiscent of pepper and nutmeg, and touches of resin and cedar wood. It has a taut structure, excellent, firm tannins, good, balancing acidity and red-fruity, spicy flavours. The finish is long, with loads of character.

Succulent and enticing, with briar patch, warmed cassis, boysenberry pâte de fruit and licorice snap notes all melding together nicely as they roll through the graphite-supported finish. There's some muscle, but this keeps a sleek feel overall. Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Sousão. Best from 2037 through 2050. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 1,000 cases made, 55 cases imported.
A ripe nose of plums, dates, cocoa and hints of warm stones. The palate is intense, layered and rich. Broad and textured with firm, ripe tannins and seductive concentration. Needs time to resolve the intensity. Try after 2028.
This takes a seductive tack, with velvety textured waves of dark plum, boysenberry and açaí berry fruit rolling through, infused with ganache, melted black licorice and alder accents. The long finish has nice flow. Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Sousão. Best from 2040 through 2060. 1,000 cases made, 500 cases imported.
