Warm bread, creamy brioche, fine spices, smoke and nectarines on the nose. Pretty full-bodied and flavorful on the palate, with good mid-palate tension and generous, creamy fruit in the finish. An excellent white blend from Leyda to enjoy now or in the next few years.
Aromas of fine white pepper funk, flowers, rich but reductive cherries and touches of dried meat and graphite. Lots of fresh tannins that come from the skins and stems. Tight veins of tannin with generous fruit make you want to drink a few glass. The stem tannins really offset the generosity. 50% garnacha (60% whole clusters), 40% syrah and 10% field blend of petit verdot and cabernet sauvignon. Sounds like a cliché, but this again makes me think Gredos. Drink or hold.
