The terrific herbal intensity makes drinking this a real walk on the Rhone wild side. The energy and vitality contrast with the density. Smoky and meaty character is wrapped around the ample tannin structure, driving the quite bold and very long finish. A 50-50 cuvee of grenache and syrah, of which half are pre-phylloxera vines. Drink or hold.
